It has been an ongoing goal of mine to get into metal smithing from some time now....And Now the day has finally come!
I have taken a couple classes and it took awhile for funds to open up because it is an expensive endeavor....but today on this bright springtime sunny day....I took my first initial PLUNGE of an investment into a torch and it's accessories!
This is a big process unfolding, I still have to acquire several more items before I can actually make anything and of course I have to gain the skills (he he) but it really feels good to feel like I'm moving forward with it.
I'm ready for this step to learn something new and build my skill level as a jewelry artist! Probably first on my list is to make a bunch of fused cuff bracelets. I have made only one in class, but I remember the instructions and with my own supplies the creativity potential of these is endless!
