Growing up with the name "Summer" and on top of that having my birthday on Summer Solstice every year has really made me appreciate and absorb the true essence of the name and season. It has had it's annoying times like the infamous...."Do you have a brother named Winter?" line. I can't tell you how many times I've heard that one. But overall it is a joyous time and just the mention of my "name" makes people happy.
This year however will be a little different. I am turning the big 3-0. An interesting threshold where my goals are coming into full bloom and I feel an indescribable completeness I have never felt before. BUT THIS DOESN'T MEAN I'M QUITE READY TO SKY DIVE!!!!
Which I have heard through the grapevine is my birthday surprise this year! I'm not suppose to know, so I have to act extra shocked when they take me face one of my challenging fears, which would be jumping off very very high things.
I still have a couple weeks of grounded-ness to mentally prepare myself. But I get nervous just thinking about it! I know I'll be fine and feel like a million bucks afterwards but this is NOW!
So when summer solstice comes remember me and send me you good lovin' energetic courage and strength!!!!

P.S. this is the tailsman that I will be wearing on my journey towards earth at 125 miles per hour. Flourite is said to be one of the most protective stones...calling all angels :)
